The Film Rebate Scheme in Mauritius is a cash-back incentives for audio-visual productions done within Mauritius. The purpose of the Film Rebate Scheme is to stimulate the interest of filmmakers and encourage them to shoot in Mauritius thereby creating new jobs and skills and to promote the island.
A rebate of up to 40% can be allocated to eligible film producers on all Qualifying Production Expenditure (QPE) incurred and spent in Mauritius.
